MUMBAI: Anti piracy raids in Sao Paulo recently yielded 200 CD burners and over 30,000 pirated CDs and DVDs with a street value of more than $100,000.
The raid, carried out with the help of the IFPI and the Motion Pictures Association, cracked down on four properties that were being used to manufacture counterfeit CDs and DVDs in the Brazilian city. The investigation into the group, which supplied counterfeit discs throughout metropolitan Sao Paulo, continues and further arrests are expected inthe near future, says a release.
