MUMBAI: Moser Baer India ushered in Telugu films in the home video market with the launch of 101 popular Telugu titles on 7 April 2007.
The company, which has earlier launched titles in Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi, says its Telugu titles are attractively priced at Rs 28 for VCDs and Rs 34 for DVDs.
The Telugu titles include popular films like Varsham, starring Prabhas and Trisha, 10th Class starring Bharath and Saranya, Dil starring Nithin and Neha, Illarikam starring Akkineni Nageswara Rao and Jamuna and more.
The collection also includes VCDs / DVDs of new Telugu film Ottesi Cheputunna starring Srikanth and Sneha and will be introducing films like Brahmastram starring Jagapathi Babu and Neha, and Astram starring Vishu Vardhan and Anushka, says a release.
Moser Baer has also launched the Telugu film industry’s 75th Year celebrations, Telugu Cine Vajrosthavam in three volumes of VCDs and DVDs.
The company has lined up 35 distributors in Andhra Pradesh and stocks shall be soon available in around 10,000 outlets, including stationery shops, telecom shops and regular audio and video outlets, the release adds.
Moser Baer’s latest initiative also proposes to release titles in Hindi, English, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Kannada, Bhojpuri, Marathi, Bengali, Gujarati and Punjabi languages. With 18 CFAs, 450 distributors and a dedicated sales force, this division will also set up owned and branded outlets at about 300 locations in addition to its alliances with large format stores, says the release.
