MUMBAI: Actor Divya Khosla Kumar has produced a short video clip that hits out at pirated VCDs/DVDs, which result in huge losses to the music industry.
The 45 second video shows the protagonist, a wealthy woman, being made the object of mockery for possessing pirated CDs. Television actor Manini De plays the role.
Divya Khosla Kumar, who starred in Ab Tumhare Hawaalen Watan Saathiyon, is married to producer and T-Series owner Bhushan Kumar. Divya, who has so far looked after the administrative division of T-Series, is now taking to film direction.
About the video which she has chosen for her directorial debut, Divya says, “Most people don’t realise the consequences when they pick up a pirated VCD or DVD. Thousands of people suffer and are even rendered homeless. A commercial video is the best way to make the public aware that they are indulging in a crime.”
