MUMBAI: Film and TV actor Kunika, who has now rechristened herself Kunika S Lall, has forayed into film production.

Kunika says, “I have completed the shooting for my first Bhojpuri venture Maatti. The final 15-day stint was held in various locales near Mumbai. The story, written by me. struck me while I was shooting for another film in Gujarat. It is the life story of the people of Gujarat. My director Sunil Prasad added the humour element and some item numbers to give the film its commercial due.”

Ravi Kissen plays the lead in the film, while Kunal Sing plays a negative role,  a corrupt politician,  for the first time.  Swati Verma, Gunjan Kapoor and Gul plays the female leads in the film.
