Synopsis

This movie is an interesting thriller-comedy which amuses the audience and simultaneously grips the audience’s interests by the mysterious turn of events. 

The backdrop of the film revolves around a small village/town where the people are very conservative and superstitious. Manoj Joshi (badri) heads a brahmin family whose ancestral palace is believed to be haunted. One day, Shiney Ahuja (Siddharth) and Vidya Balan (Avni), the son and daughter-in-law of Manoj’s elder brother return to their native village from America.

Events take on a twist when some unnatural events start taking place inside the palace. The blame comes to rest squarely on Amisha Patel (Radha), the adopted daughter of Manoj Joshi. Suddenly there is an entry in the form of a psychiatrist from America, Dr. Aditya (Akshay Kumar), who is a friend of shiny and uses modern analytical techniques to find out the culprit and solve the mystery. The film becomes a roller coaster ride from this point onwards. It’s a perfect blend of thrill and humor revealing undiscovered dimensions of human psychology which many of us could never even have imagined.
