Group M’s M Suku joins Reliance ADAG

MUMBAI: With an aim to become a fully integrated entertainment company, Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group’s (ADAG) Reliance Entertainment has been spreading its wings in the industry. Following the recent appointment of Inox’s Saurabh Varma as the chief marketing officer, the company has now roped in an old Group M hand – M Suku.


Suku has been appointed at a senior post at Reliance Entertainment. Sources inform that he has joined as the head of media strategy division at Reliance Entertainment.


Last year, Suku was promoted to head Group M’s entertainment and promotions business in the Asia-Pacific region. Prior to that he was Group M’s entertainment arm Broadmind’s national director.


When contacted by Businessofcinema.com, while Suku confirmed his appointment, he refused to divulge any further details about his new job portfolio. “I joined Reliance Entertainment on 16 October. Beyond this, I will not be able to share any details now,” he said.


At the time of filing this story, Reliance Entertainment officials were not available for comment.


In his five year stint at Group M, Suku has been in-charge of handling the entertainment, sports and partnerships aspects of the business in India. Post his promotion last year, he shifted base to Singapore and was looking after the same at the Asia Pacific level.


In a career spanning more than two decades, Suku has worked with agencies like JWT, O&M, Lintas; brands like Colgate, Reliance Entertainment and Hindustan Lever Limited. He also had a brief stint with Amitabh Bachchan promoted ABCL.
