It’s another spot of legal trouble for Bollywood superstar Salman Khan. But this time, it’s the other way round, the actor has visited the Police Station to file a complaint. Salman Khan has lodged a written complaint with the Mumbai police over a fake Whatsapp post.

According to sources in the Crime branch, a complaint letter has been received from the actor along with the screenshot of the message that has been circulated on social media sites.

A WhatsApp message has been doing the rounds since morning, where Salman Khan has stated that his film (Bajrangi Bhaijaan) can be a hit even without the support of his ‘Muslim’ fans.

A screen shot of the post has also been used by a news channel. The actor lodged a complaint at the Mumbai Crime Branch, and in his statement he denied making any such remarks.

Just recently it was reported that Salman Khan’s ambitious project Bajrangi Bhaijaan might knock the door of the court soon. A PIL (Public Interest Litigation) has been filed by an activist Anil Pradhan at the Allahabad High Court. The reason cited for the PIL application by Anil is to seek ban on the release of the film Bajrangi Bhaijaan as it will hurt the religious sentiments of the Hindus. It is being said that the film contains certain sequences which are hurtful towards Hindu sentiments.

Salman Khan who likes to be frank and open about his movies had once stated that this movie is not about religion but is about humanity which relies in every individual. After this legal advancement, we doubt whether everyone will take it in this stride.

Bajrangi Bhaijaan is very much in news, because of its hard hitting promotions. Salman is leaving no space unexplored for his film. The tale of the movie revolves around a little Pakistani girl who crosses the border unknowingly and lands in India stranded. The movie also stars beautiful actress Kareena Kapoor Khan and beloved villain of Bollywood Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

Directed by Kabir Khan the movie Bajrangi Bhaijaan is set to hit theatres on July 17.
