PNC, Motion Pixel ink deal with Bilz Music for EKEH 2.0

MUMBAI: Pritish Nandy Communications and its partner Motion Pixel Corporation have signed a deal with Urban/Pop record label Bilz Music.

PNC chairman Pritish Nandy, MPC chairman Manny Bains and Bilz Music CEO and label manager Vishal Urva made the announcement.

The agreement will see Bilz Music sensations The Bilz (DJ Vicious & Master-D) along with their R&B Pop artist Kashif, license their hit songs O Meri Rani (Spanish Fly) and 2 Step Bhangra to EKEH version 2.0 starring Feroz Khan, Fardeen Khan, Koena Mitra, Kay Kay Menon and others.

The Bilz and Kashif have been nominated for a number of awards and recently took home the Best Dance Video of the Year Award at the 2007 Bollywood Music Awards, moving them to the top of the music charts in North America and massive popularity worldwide.

The Bilz and Kashif are the first to break down barriers and push South Asian Urban music to mainstream audiences in North America. They risked going head on with platinum selling artists like Beyoncé and Justin Timberlake and charting #3 on local Canadian radio.

"PNC has always used top music talent for the soundtracks of our movies. We feel this fits well for both the look and feel of EKEH version 2.0" said Nandy.

"It’s great to be collaborating with top music talent such as the Bilz and Kashif on this film and this soundtrack will further enhance the  appeal of what is going to be India’s best animated film of 2008," comments Bains.

"Our vision at Bilz Music is to make sure our artists coincide with the best. The Bilz have co-produced with major corporations like McDonald’s for their Quebec ad campaigns, remixed for platinum Billboard charting artists like Keshia Chanté and Foxy Brown. In this year alone, the Bilz and Kashif have dominated stages alongside other international stars, including Enrique Iglesius, VengaBoys, Crystal Waters, Nina Sky and 112. It’s now time they seized attention in the motion pictures business worldwide starting with Bollywood. We are glad to work with both PNC and MPC to establish this synergy" says Urva.
