MUMBAI: Virgin Mobile and Channel V came together to create India’s first Live Bollywood flick Andaaz Apna Very Hatke. The blockbuster starred Virgin Group’s Sir Richard Branson opposite Neha Dhupia.
This live mini blockbuster was aired on Channel V at 9 pm. True to his reputation for innovation, Branson, chose this movie to showcase brand Virgin Mobile. The movie was shot with a setup of 50 cameras and a two hundred strong crew ensemble.
Dhupia thundered on the stage dancing to Aaj ki raat… from the movie Don. Branson made his entry and swayed to the hit number Mauja Hi Mauja along with the actress. Amrita Arora, Kim Sharma, Sushma Reddy, Aaftab Shivdasani and Milind Soman were also present to see the flick. Earlier in the day, Virgin Group launched India’s first nation-wide youth-focused mobile service in association with Tata Teleservices. The birth of Virgin Mobile India represents Virgin Group’s first major brand launch in India.
