MUMBAI: Multiplex operator Fame India Ltd announced the launch of Fame South City, its super-luxury multiplex in Kolkata. With the launch of this property, Fame is all set to bring world-class movie-viewing experience to the country.
For the first time, Kolkatans will experience an ultra-luxury movie viewing in the 74-seater, Gold Class Leather Recliners, both single and couple seaters that stretch to 1500. The Gold Class is serviced with an exclusive box office to buy tickets, a private gold lounge—a retreat marked with opulent architecture and blissful surroundings and a personalised butler service with gourmet dishes at hand.
Commenting on the launch of FAME South City, Fame India Limited managing director Shravan Shroff said, "We at Fame believe that the movie viewing experience at a multiplex should be no less than exhilarating."

The 57, 000 sq. ft. Fame South City multiplex houses six screens with a capacity to seat 1,426 people, with international and local cuisines and instant ticket booking facility.
As with all our Fame properties across India, Fame South City will bring its patrons closer to the world of celluloid glitz and glamour by bringing in movie stars from time to time. Real life encounters with directors and actors from both Bollywood and Tollywood and exciting contests that can take the lucky winners to the choicest of destinations in India and abroad from time to time.
With the addition of this latest property, Fame India Ltd has 15 operational properties and 54 screens across India.
Fame South City opens for public on 14 March.
