Mumbai: At a dual event for the film Ghatothkach – Master of Magic, Shemaroo released the music album of the movie and it was announced that the Ghatothkach character created by Shemaroo Entertainment has been adopted by PETA as the official Brand Ambasaddor for their ‘Save The Elephant’ campaign.
The story, direction and music for this film are by Singeetam Srinivasa Rao, who is a veteran in the film industry and world renowned for masterpieces like Pushpak, Appu Raja, Mayuri and Son of Aladdin.
The event was attended by Master Shravan, the voice behind ‘Main hoon Ghatothkach’, who also performed a live number. Also present were Mahalaxmi Iyer, Sunidhi Chauhan, Sudesh Bhosle, Shreya Ghosal, Sameer and the cast of 9X’s Chak De Bachche.
The musical score for Ghatothkach comprises eight foot-tapping numbers catering to all ages. The music is composed in seven languages including Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Bengali and English. It has been released by T-Series in all the six Indian languages worldwide. Prominent singers like Master Shravan, S.P. Balasubramanium, Chitra, Kalyani, Shrinivasan and Shwetha have lent their voices to the songs in other languages.
The live size mascot of Ghatothkach has been making appearances around town the past few weeks at select public places like Inorbit Mall and other frequented by children and their families. Now with the PETA association, this adorable character will help spread the word not only about the upcoming movie but also on the special campaign related to the cruelty towards elephants.
This movie is co-produced by Shemaroo Entertainment and Sun Animatics. It is a feature-length musical animated film for the entire family. The story of Ghatothkach, lovingly called ‘Ghattu,’ explores his magical escapades, with an interesting mix of magic, action, romance, comedy, fantasy and is complete with foot-tapping songs.
