Mumbai: Post Salman Khan and Ayesha Takia-starrer Wanted (remake of Telugu film Pokhiri) and Harman Baweja and Genelia D’souza starrer It’s My Life (remake of Telugu film Bomarillu), Boney Kapoor and Sahara One Motion Pictures will carry forward their relation for three more films, thus taking the total count to five films.
While Kapoor will be producing these films, Sahara will look into the distribution.
The three other films, which are a part of this deal include No Entry Mein Entry (sequel to No Entry), which will star all couples from No Entry in addition to one more new couple.
The fourth film is a sequel to Mr India, which will be directed by Shekhar Kapoor and will star Anil Kapoor and Sridevi along with a new comer. The fifth film is in scripting stages and will be a medium budget film.
"The total worth of the deal is approximately Rs 225 crores (Rs 2.25 billion). Salman Khan-starrer Wanted is being readied for a release on 2 October and It’s My Life will be released in February next year," informs Sahara One Motion Pictures distribution head Sharath Pal.
At the time of filing this story, Boney Kapoor remained unavailable for comment.
