Mukta Arts to produce director Abrar’s Dil Mein Baji Guitar

MUMBAI: Director Hadi Ali Abrar, who has recently completed shooting his debut fantasy film, Rama the Saviour, is now ready with the script for his second film tentatively titled Dil Mein Baji Guitar.

The film, which is a comedy is likely to be produced by Subhash Ghai’s Mukta Arts and stars Govinda in the lead role. Says Abrar, "We are talking to Rimi Sen, Celina Jaitely and Neha Oberoi for the female lead and talks are on with Shreyas Talpadey and Ranvir Shorey for the other lead role. Javed Jaffery will probably essay the villan’s role."

According to Abrar, the budget of the film is around Rs 130 million (Rs 13 crores) and he plans to shoot the film in Mumbai at Ghai’s film school Whistling Woods International. A 20 day schedule is also being planned in South Africa. However, at this point in time it is not clear when the film will go on floors as he is awaiting the green signal from Mukta Arts.

Speaking to Businessofcinema.com, Mukta Arts CEO Ravi Gupta says, "The script is not yet final as there is a lot of work to be done. As soon as we feel the script is ready and we are satisfied with it, we will give the go-ahead to the film."

If all goes well then Abrar is planning an October release for the film.

His debut film Rama – The Saviour stars Tanushree Dutta and is produced by God Willing Entertainment.
