Vidya Balan and Siddharth Roy Kapur were already on board for their vacation when this incident took place. Just when Vidya complained of the unbearable pain, medical experts had to be called and the duo had to board off their journey. The Dirty Picture actress Vidya Balan and husband Siddharth Roy Kapur had planned for a secret New Year holiday on an undisclosed location.

Vidya Balan was immediately admitted to Hinduja hospital. It is being said that Vidya might be suffering from the problem of kidney stones. The actress is currently being treated for the same. According to a source, “It is Vidya’s birthday on 1st January and the couple had big plans to celebrate both birthday and New Year. The couple had already boarded a connecting flight from Abu Dhabi to their destination and while the aircraft was gearing for takeoff, Vidya experienced a shooting pain in her back. So severe was the pain, that paramedics were called onboard and they were deplaned.”

The source further added, “Vidya was later taken to a clinic at the airport for examination where the actress received adequate treatment.”

Further Vidya Balan’s spokesperson admitted, “Vidya is currently in expert hands at Hinduja hospital and is well on her way to recovery.”
