MUMBAI: Indian film producers and multiplex officials met on 7 February for the first round of meetings to discuss the revenue sharing terms issue.
After a healthy first round of discussions, wherein the producers’ & distributors’ fraternity put forth their points; the meeting was adjourned without any firm outcome.
Says a source close to the development, "The first round of discussions were very healthy wherein both parties put forth their point of view. The overall mood of the discussion was to collaborate and bring an end to this constant war between multiplexes and the producers, distributors."
A second round of discussions is slated to take place again by the end of this week.
