MUMBAI: It has been a mammoth task for the unit of Veer to travel across the deserts of Rajasthan with a crew of 551 members, 300 horses and six cameras. Out on a 50 day schedule, the unit has finally reached Bikaner.
Speaking to Businessofcinema.com, Veer producer Vijay Galani said, “We are shooting the famous train robbery sequence in Bikaner. We reached Bikaner on 2 March and we will complete the shoot here by 10 March.”
The unit of Veer led by director Anil Sharma and the cast comprising Salman Khan, Sohail Khan, Mithun Chakraborty, UK based actress Zarine Khan and Lisa Lazarus have just completed shooting at the Sambar Salt Lake, some 200 kilometres from Jaipur. Post the shooting of the train robbery the crew will move base once again.
Using every mode of transport like buses, trucks, cars, jeeps, the producer will set shop in Dulla village next. Galani explained, “Dulla Village near Jodhpur has a schedule of 10 days, from 11 – 21 March. Here we will shoot the climax of the film.”
Inspite of the hindrance of such a big shooting crew, Galani has been able to maintain a grip on the shooting schedule. The heat of the day coupled with the chill of the night and with the clockwork timing of the schedule, Galani has a Herculean task ahead of him.
