As part of this program, Aditya Jyot Eye Hospital has initiated a special campaign for police personnel. Under this campaign, police personnel across all ranks and grades in Mumbai will be given free eye check up by the hospital along with their spouse. The eye check up will be conducted every Sunday between 10 am and 3 pm at Aditya Jyot Eye Hospital. Mumbai Police Commissioner Sivanandhan inaugurated this special scheme.
Bollywood actress Celina Jaitly who was present at the event endorsed the noble cause by pledging her eyes.
Speaking on the occasion, Aditya Jyot Eye Hospital Pvt Ltd chairman and managing director Dr. Natarajan said, "Aditya Jyot Eye Hospital has been actively involved in creating awareness about eye donation ever since its inception in 1990. It’s been our constant appeal everyone to support the cause of eye donation and make lives better and brighter for those struggling in the world of darkness."
