MUMBAI: Genelia D’Souza is enjoying Bollywood like never before. The actress, with her first big hit under her belt, celebrated her birthday on 5 August by moving into her new home.
"Yes," exults Genelia, "we will be moving into our new home today. We will have a priest come over and after he blesses the house, we will move. The whole family is so excited."
Genelia has been living in her Bandra flat since she was born. Her father, Neil D’Souza works with TCS, while her mother Jeanette has been looking after Genelia’s work. The actress also has a younger brother who works with the Bombay Stock Exchange. But now the family will be moving out of their ancestral home to their new and more spacious flat across the road.
Genelia flew into Mumbai the previous night from Hyderabad to share the special day with her parents and brother. Genelia confessed, "I prefer working on my birthday. I believe that will ensure that I work the whole year around. But this is the first time that I have taken the day off on my birthday to enjoy the day with family. As I am not the party kinds, we will be spending the day at home. Perhaps at night, my friends and I may chill at someone’s house."
Genelia has just finished shooting for her Telegu film, Katha and is awaiting the release of her next Hindi film, Life Partner.
