Saif Ali Khan’s Agent Vinod to go on floors on 25 May

MUMBAI: Saif Ali Khan’s most ambitious project, Agent Vinod is all set to start on 25 May, in Mumbai. And the good news is that the film has not been a victim of any budget slashes. The film will be made in the grand scale, as was envisaged by the producer turned actor and his director, Sriram Raghavan.

Dinesh Vijan, business partner of Saif, who owns the Illuminati Films banner confirmed to Businessofcinema.com, “We start our film with a small schedule in Mumbai. It is for only four days. Our next destination is Morocco. There we have a month long shooting schedule, before we proceed to Europe.”

Clarifying that the film has had no budget cuts, Vijan said, “The film will be shot as was planned. With a film like this, it is not possible for us to cut corners. We will also be shooting in European cities like Prague, Amsterdam and London.”

Agent Vinod is a spy thriller and Saif has been very keen that he produces this film. Sriram Raghavan, who is the director of this film, first worked with the actor in Ek Haseena Thi, which incidentally was a thriller. Since then the duo have been making plans to make a film that deals with espionage. Sriram Raghavan, has been on a shooting recee and was location hunting in Morocco last month.

The rest of the cast is still being finalized and will be confirmed by the end of this week. The principal shooting in Mumbai will be of Saif and Kareena Kapoor. Agent Vinod will complete its shooting schedule by November this year, before it proceeds to the editing tables for post production.
