MUMBAI: Marathi movie channel Zee Talkies will pay a tribute to the legendary Marathi actor Nilu Fule.
The channel will air some selective films of Fule such as Saamna, Jait Re Jait, Simhasan from 12 – 16 July at 12 pm.
The Nilu Phule Film Festival will start on 12 July with Saamna. A 1974 crime thriller directed by Jabbar Patel; the film brings two legends Dr. Sriram Lagoo & Nilu Fule together.
This will be followed by a light hearted film Porinchi Kamal Bapachi Dhamal on 13th July. In this film Nilu Fule is playing a father of five daughters who tries hard to get his daughters marry. On 14 July, a film which is famous for its songs, Jait Re Jait will be shown. The film has very popular Smita Patil & Dr Mohan Agashe in lead along with Nilu Fule.
Another masterpiece in Marathi films, Sinhasan will be showcased on 15 July. Dtarring Dr. Sriram Lagoo & Nilu Fule, the film is considered as the one of the best political thriller in the history of Indian cinema.
On 16 July, Goshta Chhoti Dongaraevdhi will be aired. The film is based on the farmer’s suicides and it was the last film of Nilu Fule. Directed by Nagesh Bhosle, the film is starring Makrand Anaspure, Nagesh Bhosle and Sayaji Shinde in lead.
