MUMBAI: Little after Shiv Sena’s support to UPA’s Presidential candidate Pranab Mukherjee, the party has more reasons to rejoice, as Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is in agreement.
"Pranab da ka banna to banta hai boss," Khan tweeted.
Meanwhile, in a statement, APJ Abdul Kalam said, "though I have never aspired to serve another term or shown interest in contesting the elections, the Trinamool Congress and other parties wanted me to contest. Many, many citizens have also expressed the same wish. It only reflects their love and affection for me and the aspiration of the people. I am really overwhelmed by this support. I have considered the totality of the matter and the present political situation, and decided not to contest the Presidential elections 2012."
On this, Salman praised Kalam for opting out of the Presidential race. "Totally agree. Superb gesture by kalaam sir, hats off ! Lots of respect, too deadly na? Arre boss we have some amazing people too."
