MUMBAI: New dad Abhishek Bachchan resents the immense scrutiny placed on wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s appearences, ensembles and weight matters.

In an interview with a daily, the actor said, "I think it’s extremely insensitive. No one has the liberty to speak about her like the way they sometimes do. Yes, she’s a public figure, but people forget she’s also a woman and now a mother. There’s a line that’s not to be crossed."

Elaborating further, "I don’t talk that way about any woman ever and it’s obviously not graceful for anyone to talk about her like that either. But may be that’s expecting too much, so to be honest, we kind of not let it affect us at all. Like Aishwarya always says, ‘negativity is like one drop in a huge ocean of positivity’ and we’d rather be happy about the love and blessings we get," he added.

The actor is also sad that he is unable to spend as much time as he would like to with little Aaradhya, due to work commitments. "Like any new father will tell you, it’s definitely not easy to leave your child behind and step out for work. But that’s my job."

Currently busy with the promotions of ‘Bol Bachchan’, Abhishek is to soon start shooting for ‘Dhoom 3’. Speaking about his role in ‘Bol Bachchan’, "My character is also named Abhishek Bachchan, so it was kind of fun doing it. Besides, the entire bunch is a fun gang – it was exciting for sure and we (Ajay Devgn, Asin, Prachi Desai, Rohit Shetty) had a crazy time on sets," he concluded.
