Bhavya Gandhi, most known for his role as Tappu aka Tipendra Gada in Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has quit the popular daily show to make his debut in Gujarati films and venture in other possibilities.
The 20-year-old actor, who started his journey as a child artist, shared some awful news with his fans on photo sharing app, Instagram. He said that his Instagram account has been continuously hacked for nearly seven times.
He has approached Mumbai police’s cybercrime department at BKC on Monday to report his hacked social media account. Police suspect that it could be the work of someone from his inner circle of friends.
In his complaint, Bhavya said his Instagram account has been hacked by a person with malicious intent on March 30. Bhavya, who is a commerce student at Mithibai College in Vile Parle, said the act was done by a suspect, identified only as Manav.
Confirming the complaint, Bhavya ‘s mother Yashoda told mid-day, “Bhavya has not been able to access his Instagram account since four days. He learnt about it after few of his friends found his posts on his Instagram account suspicious and informed Bhavya. The hacker is tech savvy and has been doing this by using multiple email-IDs.” She added, “The accused could be a known person. We’ll know about his motive only once he is caught. Bhavya is feeling harassed due this incident.” The young actor tried to retrieve the account by resetting the password, but the hacker was always a step ahead. The account was hacked seven times!!
As it is prudent for a public figure to inform his/her fans and followers of such an unfortunate event, Bhavya did the same. The police will be soon writing to Instagram to block Bhavya’s account and get IP address of the hacker.
