Rishi Kapoor Apologizes For His IPL Plea For Pakistani Players

Bollywood veteran actor, Rishi Kapoor is extremely active on Twitter and is extremely vocal and abashedly so about his opinions. Recently, his plea for the consideration of Pakistani players in the Indian Premier League (IPL) left Twitter divided.

He tweeted: IPL. You got world players. Afghanistan makes debut. My plea is please consider Pakistani players.Phir match hoga! Hum bade log hain. Please!

Sometime back, Kapoor went back on his plea and tweeted: “Sorry India.Tried to broker peace via actors, films, sports etc..with Pakistan, but they just want hatred,so be it!Taali do haath se bajti hai!”

We wonder what made him change his mind!!

The 64 years old actor got slammed by multiple Twitteratis talking about “Bollywood’s obsession with Pakistan”. The ‘Kapoor & Sons’ star’s plea comes to light in the fact that no Pakistani cricketer has featured in the Indian Premier League (IPL) after its inaugural season in 2008. The subsequent season (IPL 2), all eleven Pakistani players were barred and withdrawn from their franchise teams, and none have participated since.

After this tweet as well, he was slammed by some Twitteratis.
