Lata Mangeshkar
Who hasn’t heard about Lata Didi? Lata Mangeshkar called the “Nightingale of India,” was a versatile singer in the Indian cinema business. She provided the singing voice for a slew of Bollywood leading ladies throughout her nearly eight-decade career. She sang approximately 5,000 songs in over a thousand Hindi films and 36 regional films. The artist died at 92. The funeral was held after two days of national mourning. Crowds gathered outside her home, where the coffin began its journey to a city park and was incinerated openly. Mr Modi was among those who placed flowers on the funeral pyre.

Bappi Lahiri
People had not yet recovered from Lata Didi’s shock when the ‘Golden Star,’ Bappi Da, also left us within 9 days. Bappi Lahiri (69), a singer and music composer, died of complications from Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA), bringing attention to a widely prevalent but under-diagnosed medical illness. It is a sleep disorder in which a person’s breathing continuously stops and starts during the night.
Celebrities such as Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, and Vidya Balan took to social media to voice their sorrow at the loss of the industry’s jewel.
Irfan Khan
Irrfan Khan was an Indian film actor best known for his work in Indian cinema, in British and Hollywood films. Khan was one of the best actors in Indian cinema. Khan’s career extended more than 30 years, and he received various honours, including a National Film Award, an Asian Film Award, and six Filmfare Awards. He was honoured with the Padma Shri, India’s fourth-highest civilian honour, in 2011. He was taken to a Mumbai hospital’s intensive care unit with a colon infection and was diagnosed with a neuroendocrine tumour in 2018. The actor fought the sickness courageously until April 29, 2020.
Rishi Kapoor
Rishi Raj Kapoor (September 4, 1952 – April 30, 2020) was an Indian film actor, director, and producer who worked primarily in Hindi films. He received numerous honours, including four Filmfare Awards and a National Film Award. The Bollywood actor died in Mumbai after a prolonged battle with illness at 67. His last movie, Sharmaji Namkeen, was well-received by all, and it served as a touching tribute to his final Bollywood performance.
Dilip Kumar
Dilip Kumar, sometimes known as the “Tragedy King of Bollywood,” has appeared in over 65 films in several roles throughout his five-decade career. For his portrayal of serious characters, he was recognised as one of the most successful film stars in the industry, and he is credited with introducing a distinct kind of method of acting to the cinema. Kumar died at the age of 98 from severe prostate cancer that had spread to other organs of his body.
