After a lavish reception at Mumbai’s 5 star Taj Hotel, yesterday, Bollywood’s latest royal couple – Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan will be having an equally, if not more lavish reception in Delhi today at a large government bungalow.
Keeping in mind that the party is for the Nawab and Begum of Pataudi, the party planners and decorators have gone the extra length to make it opulent.
The theme of course is Mughal with a lot of antique furnishings. Reminiscent of the palaces of Mughal Emperors everything will be off-white and adorned with fragrant Arabian jasmine flowers.
We hear that the props kept on the stage where the couple will formally meet invitees are close to 200 years old!
The guest list of close to 600 people includes many high profile members from the political arena – UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi, President Pranab Mukherjee, Delhi CM Sheila Dikshit, BJP Leader Arun Jaitley – amongst family and friends from both Bollywood and cricketing world.
Needless to say, the security will be very tight. A source from Proman Security Tech who are to fortify the venue, revealed, “We are expecting a lot of politicians and Bollywood celebrities so we will be taking extra precaution so that the guests don’t have trouble entering the venue. We will be only allowing people who are on the guest list.”
Designer and close friend of the bride, Manish Malhotra, who has been keep fans updated about the gorgeous sisters wedding looks through Twitter world has indicated that Kareena is to choose between a pink gharara, a pink-blue or a green sari for the ‘Dawat-e-Walima’ that mother in law Sharmila Tagore has organized. Saif Ali Khan, ever so royal, will be wearing a Raghavendra Rathore.
