MUMBAI: Trailers, posters and songs will show you Aamir Khan’s looks in his upcoming suspense thriller ‘Talaash’. Sporting a moustache, the Bollywood actor looks fitter and younger than ever. You cannot help but stare.
How does he manage to look so good?
“Thanks to my parents, I guess it’s in my genes. A lot of people ask me if I have gone under the knife. No, I haven’t. You don’t need to. That’s the short cut and the effects are temporary,” Aamir says.
During the making of ‘Talaash’, and over the last five years, Aamir discovered the simple mantra for staying fit. “I have discovered that what you eat is what you are!”
Previously too, Aamir has displayed immense tenacity and willpower by going through a strict diet and workout routine for his role in ‘Ghajini’.
However, for ‘Talaash’, he needed a completely different look.
In accordance, he tweaked his meal and exercise routines. “I am very particular about my diet, work out and sleep. I have a balanced diet. And unlike earlier years, I am religious about my workouts and yes, I unfailingly sleep for eight hours and drink about four liters of water every day. I maintain a very positive and balanced life. That’s my secret.”
Aamir ensures that he has six small meals a day and that his food is accurately measured!
“So I know how many calories I am consuming,” he explains. He chalked out a cross-fit training plan including exercises inspired from sports like rowing, swimming and gymnastics.
In a recent interview, the Bollywood actor was asked if he realized that most of the actresses he works with today are taller than him.
“Oh! Really? I never noticed that. But that’s fine. Height was never an issue with me. I just know that they are all very talented people. Be it Deepika Padukone, Anushka Sharma, Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra,” he said.
