MUMBAI: Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha’s brother Kush and Ranbir Kapoor go back a long way. When Ranbir was all set to make his debut in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Saawariya’, Kush was an assistant on the production.
That’s when Ranbir and Kush got to know one another. 5 years later Kush is now bonding bigtime with Ranbir as they come together for the shooting of Abhinav Kashyap’s ‘Besharam’. Ranbir plays the lead in the film. And once again Kush is an assistant, this time to Abhinav.
Says a source, “Ranbir and Kush have connected after five years. But there is an instant connectivity. Ranbir is extremely comfortable with the shy Kush. They’re seen bonding between shots, exchanging notes on filmmaking.”
In the meanwhile Sonakshi’s other brother Luv who made his debut in the late Raj Kanwar’s ‘Sadiyaan’ in 2010 is all set to be re-launched in a home-production to be directed by Umesh (Oh My God) Shukla.
Contrary to reports, Sonakshi won’t star in her brother’s film.
Laughing off the possibility a source close to the project says, “Sonakshi loves her twin brothers dearly. But where is the scope for her to be in a film starring Luv?”
Umesh’s film will feature an A-lister actress opposite Luv Sinha. The future plan is to get Kush to direct a film for the home banner.
At the moment, things seem to be moving smoothly for the Sinhas, what with the family patriarch having fully recovered from his health setback and the two sons’ career poised for taking off.
Says a source close to the Sinhas, “God has been very kind. Sonakshi’s career is doing well. We’re very proud of her. Hopefully Luv and Kush too will soon find their bearings. Kush is assisting Abhinav Kashyap and Luv will soon be directed by Umesh Shukla. He is a very capable director.”
