[imagebrowser id=263] MUMBAI: Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi seems to be on a roll these days. The hit-machine, as he is known, has new reasons to rejoice this festive season: ace filmmaker and super successful TV personality Karan Johar has decided to cast Emraan in his next film.
We caught up with the hunky star recently at Novotel hotel in Mumbai. Emraan was there to attend the super playful Playboy bash at the star hotel; and he graciously let us take a few pictures of him entering the hotel. Clad in a casual grey tee and jeans, Emraan still somehow managed to exude his naughty-boy charm and sex appeal.
Reportedly, Karan Johar has undertaken a joint venture with TV czarina Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms, and the two are jointly creating a film, which is a “love-hate” story.
Karan has maintained that he has always been keen to work with his friend Ekta, and this project has given them an opportunity to do so. Casting Emraan too, has been Karan’s aspiration as he feels, “Emraan is a terrific actor and has tremendous clout at the Box office. He plays the protagonist and antagonist. This film will see him play a character that is very different from his previous roles.”
How does he aim to appease die-hard Emraan Hashmi fans then, and give them their money’s worth? Karan Johar further clarifies, “Having said that, his fanbase will be totally satisfied with him as the chemistry that the lead actors share is great, romantically as well as sexually.”
With Emraan entering the big leagues with Karan and Ekta’s yet-to-be-launched film, we are sure he will only grow as an actor and performer. We are also quite sure that the man’s fanbase will grow bigger with time.
