[imagebrowser id=273] MUMBAI: Mozart of Madras, and music maestro AR Rahman released his latest single, ‘Infinite Love’, here in Mumbai on Thursday. He was accompanied by Nita Ambani, Chairperson of Reliance Foundation, with whom Rahman is in partnership with for the album.
The musical genius behind superhit soundtracks like Oscar-winning ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ and other Bollywood soundtracks, including ‘Saathiya’, ‘Rangeela’ and most recently, ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’ was ever his quiet and humble self at the music launch here in Mumbai. At the grand launch, Rahman was dressed in a simple white kurta and Jodhpur pants; the living legend was the epitome of class and grace. Nita Ambani matched him note for note, in a subtle nude beige Abu Jani-Sandeep creation.
‘Infinite Love’ is a soulful composition by the music maestro Rahman, and is out in stores now. Ever since its release, AR Rahman has been flooded with praise and appreciation on twitter. AR Rahman had introduced the song with his simplistic tweet, “A song from India to the world.” He then posted a link which bore the video of Infinite Love/ Behad Pyaar.
A fan moved by Rahman’s composition posted, “Infinite Love is the rain falling into the sea. Infinite Love is the miracle showering me.” Rahman was so impressed by this message, that he retweeted it to all his fans. Upon learning that Shweta Pandit “Loved it!”, Rahman replied with a humble – “Great. Thank you.
We hope that the world once again wakes up to the genius that is AR Rahman, and learns to love and appreciate his newest single. The man has wowed Indian film audiences, and now is on a mission to bring his music to the world stage. In this endeavour, we wish Rahman all the luck and love!
