MUMBAI: Wedding season in Bollywood has stretched on from the traditional months of November- December all the way into January. The latest in the long line of celebrity couples tying the knot off late are Mohit Suri and Udita Goswami.

Udita and Mohit have been in a hush-hush relationship since 2005, ever since they met on the sets of ‘Zeher’ in Goa. Since then, Mohit (director of Bhatt camp films like ‘Woh Lamhe’ and ‘Murder 2’) and Udita have been inseparable, so it was only apt to culminate their 8-year long relationship by entering the sanctity of holy matrimony.

The wedding itself was a simple affair, with the ‘pheras’ being held at Juhu’s ISKCON temple. The blushing bride chose a red lehenga to match her state of mind, while her handsome groom kept it simple in a white kurta-pyjama and a black waistcoat on top. Not to be missed was his traditional pink turban!

The guest list included Bhatt camp favourites like Emraan Hashmi (in a steel grey kurta-pyjama), Mukesh Bhatt, Mahesh Bhatt with his wife Soni Razdan and Anurag Basu (who had begun his career with the Bhatts), Mohit’s sister Smilie Suri , Kangna Ranaut (in an appropriate dark green sari), Jacqueline Fernandez who wore a blue four-tiered anarkali kurta and Tanushree Dutta (who’s all but vanished from Bollywood altogether). Also present were Govinda with his wife and lovely daughter.

The couple looked happiest when in each other’s company, and managed to steal shy glances at one another during the elaborate wedding rituals. Here’s wishing the newly-married Udita and Mohit a lifetime of happiness and marital bliss!
