MUMBAI: Preity Zinta’s comeback film, and her debut as a producer, ‘Ishkq in Paris’ has finally released. And last night, Preity and her director Prem Soni hosted a grand premiere for their friends and well-wishers from the industry.
Post overcoming many setbacks and delays, Preity’s labour of love has finally hit the screens. Spotted at the grand premiere at PVR theatres in Mumbai were a host of Bollywood stars, including Anil Kapoor, filmmaker Abhishek Kapoor, Dino Morea, waif-thin Kangana Ranaut, lyricist Javed Akhtar and his lovely wife Shabana Azmi. Also present were costume designer Niharika Khan and cricketer Zaheer Khan.
Sunny Deol was also present at the event.
The cast of ‘Ishkq in Paris’ looked happier than ever at the turnout of the premiere. Sophie Choudry, director Prem Soni and actor Rrehan Malliek mingled with the guests.
Preity was the star of the evening in a flowing, multi-coloured, tribal printed gown.
Recently, Preity had spoken about the IPL spot-fixing controversy, where she said, “Look, I’d still like to give the accused the benefit of the doubt. But if the allegations are true, then it’s really really sad for the country, for the game and for the IPL.”
“I only wish people who are part of the IPL would take their responsibilities seriously. Finally, it’s not the players, but the team owner who has to face the uncomfortable questions on the raison d’etre of the IPL,” she added.
