Shah Rukh Khan In Trouble For Sex Determination Of Baby

MUMBAI: Shah Rukh Khan and wife Gauri Khan may already be in celebratory mode with the couple heading to become parents for the third time. But the baby, even before arrival has created trouble in the star’s life.

It was confirmed that Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan are expecting their third child through surrogacy. It was also reported that the baby apparently is a boy. This has not gone down well with the Indian Radiological and Imaging Association (IRIA).

The radiologists association has asked the health department to look into the matter and has asked for strict action against the concerned.

“We have written to the state health department to find out how the actor came to know about the unborn child’s sex when the procedure is illegal in India,” says Pre-Conception, Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques (PCPNDT), IRIA, coordinator, Jignesh Thakkar.

The act of sex determination has been banned in India since 1994, under the Pre-Conception, Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques (Prohibition Of Sex Selection) Act and attracts imprisonment up to five-years and a hefty fine of approximately $200-$1000.

It however is legal in several other countries outside India.

Well in this case Shah Rukh Khan will just be safe if he has gone through the procedures abroad.

So are we in to see another Khan fight for justice at the court of law? His counterpart Salman Khan already is making appearances for the hit-and-run case at the court. Will Shah Rukh Khan join him soon?
