9X rolls new afternoon & primetime shows

MUMBAI: Six-week-old general entertainment channel 9X has a new line-up of shows for 2008. The new shows are for the afternoon and the 8.30 pm slot. Starting 7 January, 9X will extend its prime time with a daily fiction drama Dahhej, which will air Mondays to Thursdays at 8.30 pm. On 14 January, 9X will launch its afternoon band with two daily dramas – Veeranwali and Neelanjana – and a daily cookery show Rasm-e-Rasoi.


Apart from these, 9X will air the mega multi-starrer Bollywood event Ten on 9X on 6 January, which features the three superstar Khans – Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Saif Ali Khan.


INX Media founder and chief executive officer Indrani Mukerjea said, “Starting the first week of January, 9X will extend its prime time with a new daily drama and by week two, we shall launch our new afternoon band to reach out to women audiences with two daily dramas and a daily cookery show.” She also said these shows mark the beginning of the channel’s plans for 2008.
