MUMBAI: Fox Star Studios’ Quick Gun Murugan, which is slated to release on 28 August, has found a fan in Aamir Khan.
The movie stars Dr Rajendra Prasad in the lead and has been directed by Shashanka Ghosh. It is based on a character created for television promos at the time of the launch of Channel [V]. Recently the character also inspired a sequence from Om Shanti Om where Shah Rukh Khan does a take-off on the same.
A source says, "Aamir Khan wished to see Quick gun Murugan and a special screening of the movie was held for him on Sunday."
Moreover, the actor also wrote on his blog, "Just saw Quick Gun Murugan. Really enjoyed it. I think fans of the Channel [V] character Quick Gun Murugan will love it. It’s got so many rib cracking moments. And a very well pitched performance by the lead actor Dr Rajendra Prasad, and all the other cast. It’s releasing on 28th so don’t miss it if you are a Quick Gun fan. Mind it."
