Abbas Mustan sign Neil Nitin Mukesh for two films

MUMBAI: Neil Nitin Mukesh is flying high. After commercial success for his portrayal of an innocent guy in Kabir Khan’s New York, the actor is being offered films by every big director.

However, Neil, who believes in taking it slow and steady, said, "I am not getting carried away. The offers are very good, but I want to do good cinema and as I am here to stay for a long time, I am treading my way very carefully. It is easy to get carried away, so I am taking one film at a time."

Stories about him signing Abbas Mustan’s Indian version of The Italian Job soon made its way and Neil confessed, "I am not sure if I am doing Abbas Mustan’s The Italian Job. All I know is that I have signed a two film deal with the director duo and whatever they feel will suit me, I shall take it up."

Abbas Mustan, however confirmed that they feel that Neil is apt for The Italian Job. Mustan said, "Yes, we have signed Neil for two films. We are starting first with The Italian Job and for that we have decided to cast Neil. The film will start either by December this year or early next year."

As for Neil, the actor is still enjoying the accolades that are coming his way. Aditya Chopra from the Yash Raj banner is so pleased with the actor that he too is planning to cast him in future films for the banner. Neil adds, "I am glad I took the conscious decision to start my career with an unconventional film. My fans do expect me to do something different with every film and I am glad they are looking forward to my next film, Madhur Bhandarkar’s Jail."
