MUMBAI: Combining work with pleasure is something that that Abhishek Bachchan has mastered. The actor has always been working on special occasions, this time too it’s no different. The actor, who is in New York for the campaigning of Delhi 6, will celebrate his birthday with his wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and father Amitabh Bachchan, who are also in the city for the premiere of Pink Panther 2.

Abhishek has always loved working on his birthdays and also makes it a point to work on the first day of a new year. Some years back, he was celebrating his birthday, shooting on the sets of Dhoom, with the cast and crew of the film. Another year he was working with Satish Kaushik at a remote temple in Andheri East with Kareena Kapoor. This is what AB had to say, "I believe it is lucky to work on special occasions and most definitely on a New Year’s Day. This will help you get work all year long."  

So on his birthday, we’re certainly not surprised that Abhishek has chosen to do what he believes in. And for him, Delhi 6 is not just a film, but a very important film.
