Mumbai: Raaman Trika debuted as an actor in Ram Gopal Varma’s Main Madhuri Dixit Banna Chahti Hoon which was released in 2003. Gaayab was his next in 2004 from RGV stable. Raaman earlier was continuously seen in Zee, Sony and Star Plus on soaps like Banegi Apni Baat, Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin, Kum Kum and others.
Down South he featured in two Tamil films, Monisha ‘N’ Monalisa and Idium. The former ran for 100 days while the other was an average grosser. His Telugu film, Tata Birla Manjula ‘O’ Laila again in the lead is slated for release in the second week of September. Now he is storming the entertainment industry with big plans.
“Kofee Break Pictures Ltd. is an IPO listed company. We are into film financing, producing, world-wide distribution, post-production, animation, design studio, T.V. softwares, etc.,” says Raaman. He adds, “Currently we have almost acquired world rights of Shreyas Talpade, Om Puri, Gulshan Grover starrer Hangman. Only the financial part has to be finalised. This apart we are planning to present Raman Bhardwaj’s Coffee Day which is budgeted around Rs. 40 million (Rs. 4 crore).
On the acting front, Raaman says, “I’m doing a Hollywood film. Then I’m doing a 16-episode reality show on HBO. It is an Indo-Singapore-Korean joint venture production. I may feature in four episodes.”
