Mumbai: Aksh Optifibre has launched its IPTV (Interactive and Personalized Television) brand icontrol in Jaipur with BSNL.
This will be first IPTV service in Jaipur. icontrol was launched in Delhi and Mumbai last month. icontrol is a television connection that allows the viewer to watch the programmes as per their convenience with more than 120 channels, and an extensive movie library with Hollywood and Bollywood titles at no extra cost.
Aksh’s icontrol is designed to enable consumers to control the television and to establish two-way communication for the consumer. This means you request for a program and you are delivered the same. The launch strategy for icontrol brand is to position TV as servile to the viewer, with their tagline being – TV IS SERVANT.
The "I" in icontrol stands for the Interactivity factor currently non-existent in tele-viewing offered by other service providers like DTH or CAS This campaign is promoted through an integrated marketing campaign comprising of Print, Website and Outdoor.
BSNL Rajasthan Circle CGM G.K Aggarwal said "BSNL believes in providing world class telecom and technological services to its customers at a competitive price. Our venture icontrol with Aksh Optifibre fulfils our mission in providing such services to the subscribers. With this partnership, BSNL would help increase the reach of IPTV to six million homes.
Aksh Optifibre MD K.S. Choudhari said, "Aksh for the first time has collaborated up with BSNL to launch the first IPTV service of the state and the city. The service expands the limited entertainment mediums currently with constrained choices. We are sure that our subscribers will enjoy the Interactivity feature and power of control over TV. We will also launch icontrol in other big cities of Rajasthan within one month."

The tariff plans for icontrol in Jaipur will be include free Setup box against fully refundable security deposit of Rs 999 and Rs 150 per month to get icontrol service through BSNL.
