MUMBAI: For the special episode of MasterChef India at Udaipur where Akshay Kumar was to meet and shoot with the King of Udaipur- Simi Arvin Mewari at his palace, Kumar wore a unique, diamond & pearl studded, Abu Ajani sherwaani worth Rs. 17 lakhs.
The outfit was chosen by Kumar’s wife, Twinkle. As a special task for the episode the contestants were to cook the Royal treat for the king and his courtesans in the Udaipur palace.
Masterchef is based on the famous culinary competition of the UK and Australian format of the same name. Kumar will host and judge of Masterchef India.
The show is slated to start on Star Plus from 16 October, 2010. Total twelve contestants will compete and the show will be shown two times a week on Saturday and Sunday at 9:00 pm.
