Ambika Hinduja signs Leena Yadav to direct her next

Mumbai: After producing Being Cyrus, producer Ambika Hinduja has now signed on Leena Yadav to direct her second film. Ambika Hinduja confirms the
development, “I have signed Leena Yadav to direct my second venture. She has narrated the one-liner and I instantly liked the subject. The whole story is being written by her. We will finalise the cast and other technicians in 45 days.”

Ambika Hinduja, the daughter of Ashok Hinduja and the youngest of the four Hinduja brothers, opted for film making. An alumnus of the London International Film School , Ambika Hinduja had started by assisting Subhash Ghai in Yaadein and then for Farhan Akhtar’s war film Lakshya.

In 2003, she launched her own production house Serendipity Films, and has released a moderately budgeted Saif Ali Khan starrer Being Cyrus early this year. According to the trade reports the film is said to have recovered its investments.

But Leena’s film Shabd was a failure at the box-office. She explains,
“I’m more of a creative person. Leena is my type and I understand her
creative abilities.”

What about directing films herself? “It’s too early,” she says. “I will direct a film in the near future. It will be a big budgeted moviewith galaxy of stars.”
