MUMBAI: After being in Bollywood for four decades, Amitabh Bachchan will now debut in an international project titled ‘The Great Gatsby’.

Even though the role is extremely small, the megastar is thrilled to share the frame with Hollywood biggies Leonardo Di Caprio and Tobey Maguire.

"I play Meyer Wolfsheim for about a few seconds. By the time you look down on your popcorn to pick another morsel, I’d be gone from the film… kinda short service. Mr Leonardo de Caprio – he be soo gorgeous, no wonder all the ladies flockin’ to him He be Gatsby, and spiderman Tobey Maguire be his good friend. But sittin’ in the frame talkin’ to spiderman and D (Leonardo), was pretty darn okaaaay ! whadya’ say, me members of the extended families !! But they be nice and polite people, I’ll say that .. nice and polite," " the amused actor noted on his blog

The $125 million project is a 3D adaptation of the classic F. Scott Fitzgerald novel of the same name. The film talks about Nick Carraway, a Midwesterner now living on Long Island, who finds himself fascinated by the mysterious past and lavish lifestyle of his neighbour, Jay Gatsby. He is drawn into Gatsby’s circle, becoming a witness to obsession and tragedy. Other cast members for The Great Gatsby include Joel Edgerton, Carey Mulligan and Isla Fisher.
