MUMBAI: The Amrita Film Awards, which honors the best in Malayalam cinema, will be held on 21 February, 2009 in Trivandrum.
The 5th Amrita Film Awards 2009 has called for entries that will be short listed via public voting and jury opinion.
Some of the key award categories for AFA 2009 include film, direction, acting (male/female), script, music, lyrics, song (male/female), cinematography, editing, costume, art and make-up.
Besides the conventional Award categories, Amrita TV is also examining some innovative recognition that will be announced through jury selection.
The AFA 2009 will be an entertainment event with performances by artists from the Mumbai and Madras film industry.
