MUMBAI: The shooting of director Anees Bazmee’s Benaam, delayed for a variety of reasons, finally resumed from Wednesday.
The movie is produced by Snigdha Patel and was under production since May 2006. Benaam stars Ajay Devgan, Bhoomika Chawla, Sameera Reddy, Mukesh Tiwari, Vijay Raaz, Baby Shriya, Ahmed Khan, Govind Namdeo, Rahul Dev, Vidya Malvade, Varsha Usgaonkar, Rajpal Yadav and Yashpal Sharma. Music for the film has been composed by Himesh Reshammiya.
“The last three day shoot for Benaam has started from today in a studio in Goregaon. The major stars of the film are participating in this stint. After this schedule, the film will be complete and we will be plan the release after that,” says Bazmee.
Priyanka Chopra, cast initially in Benaam, had shot for the film for two days, but was later replaced by Sameera Reddy. Chopra allegedly had to return her signing amount when the producer lodged a complaint with the Indian Motion Pictures Producers Association.
