MUMBAI: Post Lage Raho Munnabhai, actor Arshad Warsi has teamed with Meghna Kothari for Shabeena Films’ Humko Samjho Na Tapori.
Producer-director A.K. Hussain says, “Humko Samjho Na Tapori was earlier titled as 6th December A Love Story. Rajesh Khanna was supposed to play a central role. However, the date problems delayed the project by a year. Our financier Aslam bhai too expired after which I had to re-work on the project all over again.”
“Arshad Warsi and Meghna Kothari are playing the lead. We are still looking for someone to step into Rajesh Khanna’s role. The film also stars Dara Singh, Prem Chopra, Mohan Joshi and Raza Murad. Yuvraj Singh is the co-producer and Gufran Ansari and Wasif Ali Khan are the executive producers. The film is budgeted at Rs 35 million (Rs 3.5 crores). Major shooting will commence in various Mumbai locales from 9 November onwards.”
