Mumbai: Autodesk, Inc. will hold a Film Visual Effects Super User Tour in Mumbai and Chennai on November 8 and 10. As part of the tour, half day seminars will be conducted in both cities, tailored for visual effects artists and 3D animators in India.
Sony Pictures Imageworks senior visual effects artist Todd Mesher will share how the Autodesk Flame visual effects system helped shape effects for the recent films Hancock and I Am Legend. He will present tips and techniques that can be incorporated into feature film, commercial and broadcast projects. Mesher will discuss the Flame system’s broad toolset and 3D camera tracking tools, which were used to create the look of more than 170 shots in Hancock. He will also present a shot breakdown from I Am Legend and discuss how Flame played an integral role in creating the atmospheric loneliness of New York City’s deserted Times Square. In addition, David Wood, Autodesk application specialist, will share tips and features of Flame 2009, the latest Flame release.
