MUMBAI: Actor Avinash Wadhawan, last seen in Hindi film Chhup, released in February 1997, makes a comeback with a Punjabi film, Watana To Door.
Says Wadhawan, “It’s good to be back. The shooting of the film is almost complete. Most of the portions of the film have been shot in Ambala and Chandigarh. It is all about home away from home and relationships. In addition, there are a couple of other films, of which one is a Hindi venture.”
Watana To Door is cinematographer –turned – director Rajan Lyallpuri for producers Gaurav and Vikram Sethi. Punjabi folk singer Gursevak Mann, Vivek Shauque, Abhay Bhargava, Raza Murad, Ekta Trivedi, Upasna Singh and Tina Ghai are also in the cast.
Wadhavan had made his debut in 1990 with Awaz De Kahan Hai. and followed it up Aye Milan Ki Raat, Geet, Police Aur Mujrim, Junoon, Balmaa, Parwane, Dhanwan and Paapi Gudiya.
