MUMBAI: The AXN Action Awards, will honor Anil Kapoor with the Lifetime Achievement Award, for his contribution to cinema right from Beta to Slumdog Millionaire.
The AXN Action Awards, gives viewers a chance to vote for their favorite film personalities who have been nominated under various categories. The nominees for Best Action Actor in the Lead Role are Salman Khan for Wanted, Shahid Kapoor for Kaminey and Akshay Kumar Shahid Kapoor Kambakht Ishq . The nominees for Best Actor in a Negative Role are Amol Gupte for Kaminey, Saif Ali Khan for Kurbaan and Akshay Kumar for Blue. In the Best Action Film category, the nominees are Wanted, Kaminey and Blue. The Best Director nominees are Prabhu Deva for Wanted, Anthony Dsouza for Blue and Vishal Bharadwaj for Kaminey. The Best Action Sequence nominees are Blue, Wanted and Kaminey.
The show will be hosted by Neha Dhupia. Viewers can vote for the Bollywood personalities through SMS or via the website. The last date to caste the vote is 31 May, 2010.
