MUMBAI: Zee Muzic and ETC have announced the launch of a Nayee Padosan Face Hunt – the search for a new heroine for the sequel to B H Tharunkumar’s Nayee Padosan.
An innovative contest will give viewers an opportunity to share screen space with the stars of the original. The winner of the contest will play the lead in the sequel with the original cast, which comprised Vikas Kalantri, Aslam Khan, Rahul Bhatt.
The channels will call for entries from all over the country, and 12 candidates will be short listed and groomed for the final showdown. The auditions will test the candidates on various parameters, and the hunt will culminate in a finale in Mumbai on 25 March 2007.
Mehak Chahal played the female lead in the original version released in 2003.
