MUMBAI: Cinematographer Baba Azmi’s directorial debut starring Farhan Akhtar will go on floors by end July or early August, 2011.
As reported earlier by Businessofcinema.com, Azmi’s script is complete and the film will be produced by Excel Entertainment. Azmi is now casting for the film. Akhtar will be playing the male lead in the film and Azmi is still in talks with a few actresses for the female lead.
Speaking to Businessofcinema.com, Azmi said, "If all goes well, I’ll start my film either by end July or early August depending on the actors’ dates. I will be shooting the film in India and it will be shot mostly in North India."
Azmi is currently busy doing the cinematography for Maverick Productions’ One and Only starring Kangana Ranaut and Chirag Paswan.
